Gibbs and the Family Guy: Are they Twins?

Robert Gibbs, the Czar of Disinformation, went on “Meet the Press” Sunday and announced

“I think there’s no doubt there are enough seats in play that could cause Republicans to gain control.  There’s no doubt about that.”

Someone in the Obama Administration telling the truth?  Has Hades frozen over?  Did Mr. Gibbs stop trying to do his best Pinocchio impression?   Has he stopped drinking the Kool-Aid and started drinking the truth serum?

Democrats now hold a 255-178 advantage and the Republicans would need to take at least 40 seats to regain control of the House and the country.  I personally believe they will take many more than that.    The questions is:  Are they deserving?

This fall Americans will hear many campaign promises to fix this and fix that, but other than a handful of politicians, does any candidate really care?  I am a bit pessimistic because most candidate’s hubristic belief  their own cleverness surpasses that of their electorate. It’s not so much cleverness I fear, but how much are we really paying attention.  What with Lindsey Lohan’s imminent crisis and all??!!

Each election cycle, the voter gets the Sisyphean task of choosing a candidate that would best represent them in Washington based on their campaign promises.   It would be a great change for all of America if each candidate had a taste of what Robert Gibbs was drinking this morning.
