Obama Speech Translator 1.0

Are you tired of listening to an Obama speech and wondering what he’s actually saying? Take his July 9th speech at UNLV, where the most anti-free-market president we’ve ever had told us he’s a huge supporter of the private sector. Confusing, huh? Well, here at the Red State Report we’ve taken it upon ourselves to help you understand what BHO is actually saying. Take, for example, this excerpt from Obama’s speech.

What he said:
“There’s a big debate in Washington right now about the role that government should play in all this. As I said in the campaign — and as I’ve repeated many times as President — the greatest generator of jobs in America is our private sector. It’s not government.”

What he meant:
“People don’t agree with my plan to have the government take over every industry in the world. I’ve lied about this for a long time–and even more frequently since I took office–we put up with the private sector so we can tax them to death. That’s how we pay for big government.”

See how easy that was? Just take whatever Obama says and replace it with the opposite. Here’s a little cheat sheet to help you out along the way.

  • “Let me be clear…” – Translation: I’m lying…
  • “Let me repeat that…” – Translation: Let me lie to you again…
  • “The private sector…” – Translation: Those we will tax like crazy to support our out of control spending…
  • “Let me give you an example…” – Translation: Let me tell you an anecdotal story, real or made up, rather than using logic to support my position…
  • “This program will create jobs…” – Translation: We’re gonna pump a lot of money into pork barrel projects for politicians who agree with me…
  • “X jobs have been created or saved…” – Translation: I just made that number up!
  • “Change…” – Translation: Socialism…

You get the idea. Please share this with your friends, and be sure to add your own Obama translations in the comments section below.
