Kerry: We Need Your Money
Sen. John Kerry is almost as big a gaff gift as Joe Biden. It is politicians like him that has put this country in jeopardy. Kerry’s latest musing occurred on 1-11-2011 when in front of the Center for American Progress (a George Soros funded organization). His statements will be separated here to allow for a rebuttal (only needing a quarter of my brain for this).
The following are comments made by Sen. Kerry supporting big government;
1) “Do they want a government too limited to have invented the Internet, now a vital part of our commerce and communications?” The obvious retort would be, “I thought Al Gore invented the internet”. The real answer is: the military actually invented the internet, which technically is the government but is one of the few constitutionally mandated purposes for the federal government and limited taxes would not have effected this. Just get ready for more government intervention out on the web.
2) “[Do they want a] government too small to give America’s auto industry and all its workers a second chance to fight for their survival? Taxes too low to invest in the research that creates jobs and industries and fills the Treasury with the revenue that educates our children, cures disease, and defends our country?” Where do I start here? 1) The auto bail out was actually a bail out of the UAW (auto union). The UAW was able to purchase a large amount of GM and Chrysler, and was the only institution to gain a majority of its cash back from the auto giants; other vendors saw a return of pennies on the dollar for their payback. I guesstimate that “we the people” will lose about $46 billion on the bail out. 2) Back to that fictional “saved or created” jobs. Industries and research are done primarily privately; the government has done very little here. Education of children: Sen. Kerry have you seen test scores from the public schools in this nation, yeah it’s embarrassing, not something to hang your hat on. Cure diseases: again largely done privately. Finally a solid point from John F Kerry (did you know he served in Vietnam?), “defend our country”! You might want to have a talk with the President here John; it’s the only service Obama wants to cut.
3) “[T]he 21st century can be another American century”. I can’t argue what I cannot understand. I think Kerry might have had one too many drinks here. We should have an interpretation contest for this one.
Let’s play a quick game of Jeopardy! Sen. kerry you are in denial and we will teach you through a game. The game is not quite as consequential as the one you have been playing. The answer is November…… What was the month the American people went to the polls and voted that they wanted smaller taxes and a much smaller government.
