BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – Gayle King remains calm as Michelle Obama gives her some career advice. The First Lady commended her for landing the job on “CBS this Morning”, but then told her that her apparent obsession with trying to talk and sound exactly like Oprah is really irritating.

BREAKING NEWS – Hong Kong, China – Chinese President Hu Jintao states that he is very surprised at the incredible success of New York Knicks star Jeremy Lin. Jintao explained that he didn’t think Lin would ever amount to anything when he lived in Hong Kong. And the president added, that he based his opinion on the fact that from the time Lin was 7 years old until he was 12, he would constantly complain about having to work more than 60 hours a week in several government run factories.

BREAKING NEWS – Tampa, Florida – Dedicated supporters of Ron Paul are still travelling throughout the country, stopping at psychiatric wards in every major city. Their objective is to motive Paul’s most loyal supporters, which are voters that are irrational and or mentally unstable.

BREAKING NEWS – Tilton, New Hampshire – Mitt Romney tells a crowd that the recent statement he made regarding not being concerned about the poor, was not meant to be arrogant or condescending towards one group of people. He said the truth is, as a multi-millionaire he prefers to be elevated when he speaks so he can talk down to everyone equally.

BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – President Obama’s most recent statement has even more Christians outraged. He said in a speech, that Christian organizations should provide birth control for their employees, but Muslims are exempt. He later explained that it would be a waste of money to apply it to Muslims, because most of them  are usually way too angry to think about sex.

Obama has declared war on the Catholic Church and now he has some Axis friends that are joining his war efforts.

Soon after Planned Parenthood launched their Blitzkrieg against the Susan Kommen Foundation, a blitzkrieg which much like the Nazi’s in France, took all of about a day to subdue their adversary, Planned Parenthood has set their sites on their next enemy–the Catholic Church.

This story comes from Green Bay Wisconsin. 

The St. Vincent de Paul food bank (affiliated with the Catholic Church) in Green Bay got a call from the local Planned Parenthood offering to donate food as long as St. Vicent de Paul sent a truck to pick up the donations.  Sensing a political ploy and potential photo op for Planned Parenthood, the food bank politely turned Planned Parenthood down, suggesting other food banks that would be happy to pick up the donations.  St. Vincent de Paul added that if any individuals wanted to bring their donations down to their food bank they would be happy to accept the donations.

This was the shot heard around the abortion clinic, Planned Parenthood went on the attack.  Within 20 minutes of the exchange between the two institutions, St. Vincent’s started getting calls and e-mails calling the workers all kinds of names.  Planned Parenthood also claiming on their facebook account:

The left wing communist blog The Daily Kos climbed on as one of the Axis members, releasing the personal information to include phone numbers of the employees from the food bank.

Obama started this war on the Catholic Church and now his allies are piling on to create their own fronts in this war.  Obama and his Axis friends are on a full frontal attack on the Catholic Church and the Church may be able to handle them on their own for now, but much like England during WWII it will take great allies to beat this enemy into a full back down.  All those who are Christians and Jewish should line up behind the Catholic Church to beat back this enemy, because they will be next if the Catholic Church isn’t successful on it’s own.

Obama has to be hoping P.T. Barnum was correct when he stated: “There’s a fool born every minute”.

Obama is betting his re-election on the foolishness of the American voters.

The last jobs number was a complete whitewash of the truth.  Yah, the unemployment rate is down to 8.3%—after 1.2 million people dropped out of the job hunt completely.  Then there is the news that there is 3 million job postings, the most in 3 years.  Immediately I ask, what jobs are being posted?  McDonalds or salaried jobs at a Fortune 500 company?  Couple that with the news that for the first time ever, 23% of the American population is now completely dependent on the government to fund every aspect of their lives, and 70% of the annual budget is spent on some kind of individual assistance.  How is every thing getting better with depressing news like this? 

It’s not about it getting better, it’s about the optics.  How does it look to the uninformed voter!  Obama is only about the optics, while he continues full speed on his agenda to remake America as a complete socialist society.

How is Obama fooling us today?

Obama announced a “compromise” that will allow birth control and abortion pills to be handed out to everybody for free, without interfering with the Catholic church, or other orthodox religions.  How does Obama do these magic tricks?  Instead of the Catholic institutions paying for the birth control and abortion pills, the insurance company will pay for it, not the Church!  How does this magic trick work?  Well you see, before the Catholic institution would have had to pay for the abortifacients directly within their premiums, NOW the Church will be paying for it INDIRECTLY.  Who thinks the insurance company will willing pay out of their own pocket for these birth control methods?  Does this even get around the basic tenants of the Church?  It looks better, but it’s just laundering the same money that goes toward that which the Church still doesn’t believe in.  I am not sure the Church feels any better about what amounts to an accounting trick.

It still isn’t about making the Catholic church happy.  It’s about fooling as many liberal Catholics as possible, while still getting his way.  Will this work though?  Is this enough to make the liberal Catholics think Obama is compromising (which anybody with half a brain knows there is no comprise here) and get their vote in November?  Unfortunately I can’t answer that.  This move, however insincere it was, may be enough to dupe those liberal Catholics that pay scant attention to the issue.

As long as people are willing to be fooled and as long as the main stream media continues to cover for Obama, every day for Obama will start with a question: How Can I Fool Em’ Today?

This ruling is negatively affecting Catholic institutions, such as hospitals and clinics.  This is a direct violation of the basic beliefs of the Church.

I will admit, the first thing I wondered was, “What does Sister Carol Keehan think about this situation?”  Sister Keehan lead a group of Nuns who backed Obama’s health care.  Sister Keehan did have a quote concerning this matter:   “The impact of being told we do not fit the new definition of a religious employer and therefore cannot operate our ministries following our consciences has jolted us.”

What did Sister Keehan expect when she supported Obama?  You lie down with dogs, you will get up with fleas.

In one sense I feel Keehan gets what she deserves, she was an idiot to support Obamacare but in a much larger sense I will go to my grave fighting for the right of the Catholic church to practice their beliefs without government interference (especially since I am Catholic, but I will go the mat for religious freedoms for all religions, outside the religions trying to destroy the US currently).

Rev. Al Sharpton is voicing what has to be the thought processes behind Obama’s move in this matter.  In a response to the question about whether it is right to force Catholic institutions to give away birth control measures to include the abortion pill, Sharpton answered:

If we are going to have a separation of church and state, we’re going to have a separation of church and state.

So this is a “Separation” issue?  If you don’t do what the government wishes you to do then the Church is guilty of violating the Separation issue?!

Nancy Pelosi (a devote Catholic, just ask her she will tell you) stated when asked about the ruling from the HHS Secretary: “I am going to stick with my fellow Catholics in supporting the administration on this. I think it was a very courageous decision that they made, and I support it.”  Of course the Bishops and the Holy Father (the Pope) should know by now, they should always ask Pelosi about any moral issues facing the Church if they want to get the true Spiritual meaning from any issue, after all Nancy is infallible.

I do believe this is just a symptom of a much larger issue.  Laws will be turned on their head and certain institutions will have to understand, in order to get to the great socialist nirvana, some people will have to give up their Constitutional rights.  Many of Obama’s legislative moves are being brought in front of the Supreme Court precisely because Obama has forced through a number of unconstitutional regulations.  If you think it’s bad now, give Obama another term.  God forbid–Sorry if Obama gets another four years the use of God’s name will be  forbidden.

The Catholic church along with all Christian denominations and Jewish as well are the enemy of this administration, and Sister Keehan was a useful dimwitted dolt for Obama to use toward his ultimate goal.  I do hope Sister Keehan will become as dedicated to stopping Obama now, as she was to helping Obama before.

As this election year proceeds, one question continues to be raised…Will there be an opposition party to the Republicans?  The question revolves around the Tea Party vs. the Establishment Republicans.

The question isn’t primarily a result of no true Tea Party presidential candidate (Rick Santorum being the closest, but hasn’t garnered full Tea Party support yet).  No, most Tea Partiers are aware, it will take time to get a true conservative at the top of the ticket.  It is important to continue to build the grassroots movement from the state houses up to the US Congress, but this is where the trouble starts.

Rep. Allen West of Florida, a true Tea Party candidate and military hero, is having his district redrawn to the point where his district no longer exists.  Establishment republicans are in charge of the redistricting.  It remains to be seen if this is purposeful or as has been offered, “it’s what was necessary and mandated by Florida law”.  UPDATE: Florida is shaping up in Allen West’s favor, as many domino’s are shifting to allow West to run for Congress in another district.  This happened after the news hit the talk shows, so makes a person wonder about Florida.

The trouble extends to Ohio, where the republican party is requiring, for the first time, that to be “seated and sworn in as a member of the State Central Committee, a person shall have voted in the three immediately preceding Republican statewide primary elections”.  This would hurt Tea Party members who for the most part are newcomers to the political scene.

The Establishment Republicans, like their liberal opponents, are after the power and money.  The difference is who gets the money.  Establishment republicans tend to be corporatist, but are NOT socialist.  The corporatist philosophy is one of many things the Tea Party seeks to end.

The Tea Party is after responsible government, a government that gets back to the rules that are suppose to govern America, the Constitution.  Tea Party members favor a conservative form of egalitarianism, based on man’s/women’s natural rights bestowed upon them by their Creator.  Corporatism and Socialism turn this ideology on it’s head, each of which favor some persons over others, giving those in government control over everybody’s lives.  It is the tendency of the Establishment to be “liberal light” that is causing the split in the two factions of the republican party.  It is a struggle between two ideologies: soft tyranny vs. liberty and the establishments willingness to destroy the Tea Party by any means possible that might be the catalyst that causes the demise of the republican party.

Any scism in the Republican party will not occur until after the 2012 election, but if the Establishment continue to treat the Tea Party much in the way the democrats treat them, then “bar the door” there will be a gigantic split. 

If the Tea Party forms a third party, should they name it the Whig Party?  After all a “Whig” was originally a widely recognized label of choice for people who identified as opposing tyranny.

As a Christian, I believe life is sacred.

As an economist, I know markets are created to meet human desire, regardless of whether the goods or services sold in the market are legal or ethical.

As a philosopher, I understand many humans, with the possible exception of my wife, seem to enjoy having a regular sex life.  In fact, human beings take pleasure in sex long before they can appreciate the long-term consequences of their actions.

Out of the blue, my college sweetheart recently told she had a procedure to remove an ectopic pregnancy shortly after we separated.  So much for conventional birth control.  She didn’t want to tell me prior to the procedure out of  concern I would talk her out it.  She said the embryo had a poor chance of surviving, if at all, and only if she spent seven months in bed-rest.  Out of her desire for a clean break, she did not want me to ask her to marry out of a sense of obligation.

Wasn’t sure why she would come forward to tell the story at such a late date – blame a mixture of alcohol, guilt, and late-night Face booking – but I marveled I could have been a father as a young man.  In some respects, she was wise not to tell me; I would have wanted to keep the baby, even if it meant staying together.

Of course, the idea of being a father isn’t frightening to me now, having been married and with a stable income, but there was a time it would have been terrifying.  At a young nineteen, legally an adult, but prior to starting college, I couldn’t image confessing to my folks I knew what sex was, much less that a child had been brought into this world by my lustful recklessness.

But now, through the mind of an adult, I realize my parents would not have loved me any less had I had a child at nineteen.  Or even fourteen.  And we would have found a way to make it work, whether it was putting the child up for adoption or going to college part-time.  Life is sacred.  There are ways to adapt and overcome.  You take care of family.  They taught me that.

Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973.  The Court in Roe focused on the weighing of interests, with the implicit right to privacy weight against the viability of fetus.  The concept was again reaffirmed over twenty years ago in Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey (1991).

As a pragmatist, I can understand the Court’s view.  Banning all abortion would lead to a black market where abortions were still performed under dangerous conditions.  There is an implied right to privacy in the Constitution.  At some point the fetus is viable and there is a strong public policy interest in protecting the unborn.  A weighing of interests.

At the same time, as a pragmatist, I can’t help but appreciate, even if Roe was decided correctly for the time, the changes in medicine since Roe v. Wade was decided have made it archaic.  New technologies mean preterm babies weighing less than a pound are now viable.   Surely, even the most liberal among us could appreciate how much more we now about human physiology and the viability of life.

As an adult, I realize there is still room in the world for everyone.  Fear of scarcity is unfounded.  Children are not just mouths to feed, but brains to create.  Builders of futures too great for current generations to imagine.

People sometimes ask me, as a libertarian, how can I support laws against abortion.  I note the legitimate role of state government is the police power to protect us from others.  The young and the unborn are the most vulnerable and deserving of protection.

As science continues to advance, we will be able to save babies at an earlier and earlier age.  A while back Nebraska passed a fetal pain bill barring abortions after 20 weeks because of the possibility that the fetus could feel pain.  It was a thoughtful move in the right direction.  A piece of legislation to be modeled in every state.

BREAKING NEWS – Mesa, Arizona – Arizona’s governor Jan Brewer, is seen in a heated discussion with President Obama over immigration. Brewer was visibly animated as she demanded that the President secure the southern borders. Obama was just as passionate about his position, and responded by saying that he would do it, only if she would allow any illegal immigrants in Arizona to vote in the 2012 election, as long as they promise to vote democrat.

BREAKING NEWS – Pyongyang, North Korea – Two generals get a firm grip on new North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, trying to restrain him. They grabbed him when he began salivating, and was about to run after an ice cream truck that happened to be passing by.

BREAKING NEWS – Sacramento, California – According to a staff member of Senator Nancy Pelosi, she has some very negative information on Newt Gingrich. It stems from an incident in 2008, as Pelosi was flying into Los Angeles International Airport. She allegedly has evidence proving that Gingrich was responsible for a mechanical malfunction with the landing gear on her broom.

BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – Jesse Jackson, along with Congresswoman Maxine Waters, and Congressman Hank Johnson are demanding that a law gets passed to compensate blacks who had ancestors that were slaves. The law would mandate that blacks would receive 25% of all products made out of cotton, including tee shirts, shorts, and medicine bottles. So far, no pharmaceutical company or Fruit of the Loom have returned their calls.

BREAKING NEWS – Tehran, Iran – Iran threatens to take action against the United States if sanctions are targeted toward their nation. Because a fifth of the world’s crude oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz, Iran states that they will start charging U.S. ships toll, forcing them to spend a fortune in dimes and quarters.

Nebraska has been front and center in the 99% “hate on” for the remaining wealthy 1%  and the President has been trying to capitalize on this sentiment, making his feelings very public during the State of Delusion Speech Obama gave recently.  Obama’s guest during the speech was the much talked about Debra Bosanek, Warren Buffet’s secretary.  Mrs. Bosanek was made famous by Buffett’s “I don’t pay enough in taxes” editoral, in which he complained that he only pays 15% (the amount paid on dividend earnings) while his poor starving secretary pays a much higher percentage, around 30%. 

Before we get a real case of our “hate on”, let’s look at how poorly Mrs. Bosanek is doing.  Reports are Mrs. Bosanek and her husband recently purchased a second home just outside of Phoenix, AZ. which includes a swimming pool and a PGA putting green.  Hard to believe, I figured she lived in little more than a cardboard box, but their primary residence in Bellevue, NE is a stately 2568 square foot home, valued at $218,000.  Forbes Magazine approxiamated Mrs. Bosanek’s income based off her reported tax percentage and they figured she makes between $200,000 and $500,000 a year.  How do I apply for her job?

All the class warfare aside, “yes” some ultra-wealth do pay a smaller tax percentage than the middle class, but what if they really got soaked.  I believe we wouldn’t see the following headlines:

Ricketts: Fights On To Save Holy Name.

Pete Ricketts (of the Ricketts family that owns the Chicago Cubs) is getting a group of benefactors together, which in large part includes himself, to save Holy Name elementary school.  The Omaha diocese was going to have to shut down Holy Name for financial reasons.  Holy Name is in North Omaha, an area known to be below the poverty line with gang and drug problems.  Ricketts realizes the ONLY ticket out of that area for the children raised there, is to get a good education and students from Holy Name graduate High School at a 98% rate.  Ricketts and many other rich benefactors will be getting together to make sure these children have a shot in life.

If the government taxes the rich, blind, then would we see examples such as this?  I think these examples would be few and far between. 

Mitt Romney has been castigated for making millions of dollars while paying just under 15% in taxes.  What has always been left out of the story is that Romney donates millions more to various charities.

Why should we hate the 1%?  Many of the ultra-weathy are also ultra-generous and thankfully so, because many of us in the middle class could not save a school, or care to save a school in a poor area of any city, but the ultra-rich Pete Ricketts’ of America do care.  Without rich people like Ricketts what would become of many of our communities?  The answer is out there for all to see….Communist Russia.

Jon Bruning Announces for Senate?

Stop the presses!

Attorney General Jon Bruning, Nebraska’s Joe Biden, has made his official announcement he is a candidate for United States Senate.

Sources close to Attorney General Bruning state Jon is just the type of whiz kid we need in the United States Senate.  By getting re-elected Attorney General two years ago, the Attorney General successfully received a $100,000 per year salary to run for United States Senate, a strong indication of his ability to balance a family budget.

Further, in business accumen surpassing even Hillary Clinton – who turned $1,000 in cattle futures into $100,000 in less than a year – the Attorney General was able to turn this full-time civil servant’s salary of $100,000 into between $12.6 million and $61.3 million dollars. Someone make the call Warren Buffet.  I think we have a viable candidate to take over Berkshire Hathaway.

“The deficit will be no problem for Jon Bruning,” said a campaign advisor who wishes to remain confidential.  “Jon can weave straw into gold.”

For those who have opened a newspaper at some point in the last four years, his most recent official announcement has largely fallen on deaf ears.  “Wow,” said Rip Van Winkle sarcastically. “I hadn’t heard that.”

When questioned, Bruning’s campaign manager, Trent Fellers, appeared befuddled, apologized for the mistake, noting confidence John’s official announcement had come four years prior, in a primary contest against Senator Chuck Hagel.

When pressed that campaign was for the Senate seat now held by Mike Johanns, Fellers stated the most recent official announcement must have come just after Jon was re-elected Attorney General, a few days before he would be sworn in for another term.   “Yep, that must have been the official announcement.”

Reporters should now question whether it was just the announcement of an exploratory committee in the event Governor Heinemann decided not to run?  (And was that Heineman’s first, when he announced he was definitely not running, or second time of making the announcement, when he was definitely not running, but with an asterix.)

One hopes, just for good measure, between now and the primary, Jon Bruning will clarify the issue of whether or not he is a candidate for US Senate.  Sources close to Jon say polling will determine whether he drops out, again, to run for something else in two years.

Obama’s new ad claims his administration to be one of the most ethical.  I guess if you forget about “The Fast and the Furious” scandal, Solyndra and LightSquared scandal , Unconstitutionally making appointments while the senate is not in recess, Taking over GM and Chrysler then going against bankruptcy laws to make sure the Unions get a majority share in those companies, Being willing to re-write laws in order to get his healthcare passed, Unilaterally declaring DOMA unconstitutional and ordering his DOJ to not defend it anymore, and forcing religious institutions to go against their beliefs to force them to offer insurances that cover for abortion pills, then “yes” Obama’s might be the most ethical administration, right in front of Nixon’s, Andrew Johnson’s, and Woodrow Wilson’s.

Obama’s commercial also claims that the US use of foreign oil is down under 50% for the first time in decades.  This might be due to the ailing economy.  US demand for gasoline has dropped to it’s lowest level in 10 years and that’s not due to a slew of electric cars on the road because electric cars have not been extraordinarily popular and GM has recalled every Volt ever produced.

Obama will continue his Fantasyland delusions with his State Of The Union address.  If you listen, the speech will sound more like a Bolshevik revolutionary than the leader of the Free World, as he  pits the employer against the employee and the job creator against the job seeker.

“There is this creeping attempt, there’s this attempt to gradually ease Sharia law and the Muslim faith into our government. It does not belong in our government.”

Liberals blasted Mr. Cain for saying this but the truth is, the Muslim Brotherhood is well established in America already.  What is the goal of the Muslim Brotherhood?  To bring all countries under Sharia Law.

How will the Muslim Brotherhood accomplish their goals?  In captured documents found from FBI raids of Muslim cells over a 30 year period, the plan is spelled out:

1) Expand Muslim presence by birth rate, immigration and refusal to assimilate; occupy and expand domination of physical spaces.  We see this happening in Europe right now, look at France where the Muslim population is almost a majority and it lives under Sharia law.

2) Ensure the Muslim community knows and follows MB doctrine; control the language we use in describing the enemy; ensure we do not study their doctrine; force compliance with shariah at local levels.  US judges have already started to site Sharia law in their decisions, one court decision from New Jersey refused to grant a restraining order against an ex-husband based off Sharia law.

3) Fight all counter-terrorism efforts; employ ‘lawfare’ – the offensive use of lawsuits and threats of lawsuits; claim victimization/demand accommodations; condemn “slander” against Islam; subvert the U.S. education system –There has been documentation of errors in history books found throughout the US that favor Islam against the truth. Click here to download the PDF file which gives a short description.

4)  Infiltrate and dominate U.S. Middle East and religious studies programs; demand the right to practice shariah in segregated Muslim enclaves; demand recognition of sharia in non-Muslim spheres; confront and denounce Western society, laws, traditions; demand that shariah replace Western law.  I have documented the attempts here as Muslim students have sued The Catholic University of America for not setting aside a specific place for Muslims to pray and have also sued Trinity University of Texas for having “In The Year of Our Lord” on their diploma’s.

Remember Huma Abedin?  She is better known as Anthony Weiner’s wife (or might be former wife) but is also Hillary Clinton’s assistant.  Huma’s  mother founded the Muslim Sisterhood, which is the female division of the Muslim Brotherhood and her brother, Hassan Abedin is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and is aquinted with a known terrorist.  How did Huma get the security clearance for her current job?  Does the Muslim Brotherhood now have an inside track to state secrets of the US?

The media will never investigate this.  The media has been very busy covering up any terror activity linked back to Muslims, calling the activity “Lone Wolf” activity, example Major Hasan, a radicalized Muslim in contact with terrorist cells, is referred to as a “Lone Wolf” as if radical Islam and the preaching of radical Islam had nothing to do with his terror.

The Muslim Brotherhood is winning in the elections in Egypt and starting to take Libya over.  Soon the Middle East will be radicalized all while the Brotherhood continues it’s quest on our shores.

It is important to remember, not all American Muslims want Sharia law to rule their lives.  Many American Muslims love this country and the Constitution that is the law of the country.  The problem; Radical Muslims are taught to lie in order to gain credibility, so who are the good guys verses the bad guys?  I am not recommending FDR’s solution to Japanese in America--lock up all Japanese-Americans, but maybe Herman Cain had an idea.  Before you put a Muslim in positions of power, make sure they are beholden to the Constitution and reject Sharia.

Where you aware that Muslims discovered America?  How about; native American Indian Chiefs had Muslim names?  Did you also know that Jesus was a Palestinian man who created Christianity?  Also Jerusalem is an Arab city?

BREAKING NEWS – Tuscan Islands of Giglio, Italy – There is now international outrage at Captain Francesco Schettino for abandoning the Costa Concordia, leaving passengers to fend for themselves. Schettino later stated after his arrest, that the reason why he promptly left the cruise ship and went to a nearby island, was so he could more easily observe the full spectrum of the disaster. He concluded by saying, that he felt he could make calmer and more rational decisions coordinating a rescue plan from his hotel room.

BREAKING NEWS – Chicago, Illinois – Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farrakhan is accusing Wikipedia of racism, stating that their recent decision to go “dark” for 24 hours, was not to protest anti-piracy legislation in Congress. Farrakhan added that he strongly believes, that “dark” was a code word to encourage white people to stop trying to educate blacks online. He also stated that “going green” is a bigoted term that is used to belittle Martians.

BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder tells the NAACP, that white people are trying take away their voting rights. He also stated that sometime in 2012, white people plan on buying at least 100,000 foreclosed homes from all over the nation, and convert them into plantations.

BREAKING NEWS – Austin, Texas – Ron Paul’s supporters wants the United States to change the procedures regarding the “Oath of office” just in case he wins. They feel it will be unfair to Paul to request that he raise his right hand, while putting the other hand on a bible, if at the time he’s wearing a strait jacket.

BREAKING NEWS – Bentonville, Arkansas – Adoption agencies nationwide are outraged at Wal-Mart’s plan to start selling babies over the counter. The retail giant defended their new product, by stating that they are a family store, thus they will help people create a family. They also said that they will give a full refund to any parents for 18 years, if the child drops out of school, joins a gang, or obsessively uses the word “like”.

Ocean Grove, a United Methodist Church in New Jersey, was successfully sued by a lesbian couple for not allowing them to be married on Ocean Grove’s grounds.  The site in question is Ocean Groves’ seaside pavilion which is used in worship ceremonies.  Ocean Grove argued under the First Amendment they have the right to not allow marriages they do not recognize on their grounds, the judge did not agree.  Judge Solomon Metzger ruled Ocean Grove had to allow such marriages then went one step further and revoked Ocean Groves tax-exempt status on the pavilion and surrounding grounds.  The tax-exempt status has since been re-instated for most of the grounds after the church re-filed for the exemption.

This is not only an example of out-of-control judges, who willfully withhold Constitutional rights from one group, usually Christian/Catholic groups while extending non-existent rights to other groups, usually gay or Muslim groups but it is also an example of how liberal rulings and laws become dominoes.  Once a law is passed, gay marriage in this case, lawsuits are filed against organizations thought to be exempt, then one ruling against the organization is then used as precedence forcing all to be loyal to the law.

Here are a few cases from around the nation from NPR’s website, where other people’s rights are stepped on forcing them to recognize gay marriage:

Yeshiva University was ordered to allow same-sex couples in its married dormitory. A Christian school has been sued for expelling two allegedly lesbian students. Catholic Charities abandoned its adoption service in Massachusetts after it was told to place children with same-sex couples.

On January 28, 2008, the New Mexico Human Rights Commission heard the case of Vanessa Willock v. Elane Photography.

Willock, in the midst of planning her wedding to her girlfriend, sent the photography company an e-mail request to shoot the commitment ceremony. Elaine Huguenin, who owns the company with her husband, replied: “We do not photograph same-sex weddings. But thanks for checking out our site! Have a great day!”

In April, the state human rights commission found that Elane Photography was guilty of discrimination and must pay the Willock’s more than $6,600 attorneys’ fee bill. The photographers are appealing to state court.

This isn’t just about gay marriage.  This is the liberals attempts to gain and maintain power and control within the nation and the religious right gets in the way.  Religious people and morality are at odds with the goals of liberals and the left can’t control religious people in the same manner Nazi and Communist did…imprison them or kill them, no they have to control the religious by marginalizing them.  Once the left has a large portion of the nation in agreement (in this case the youth agrees with the left on gay marriage) then they can marginalize the rest making morality and religion antiquated beliefs and thus reducing those who practice Christianity allowing for more control with morality being a thing of the past.

As the election of 2012 approaches we must remember, it is the President who appoints judges to these benches and it is the Senate that approves them.  If you want to reverse the tide, vote against Barack Obama and any democrat Senator.

PolitiFacts does try to come to Obama’s defense by claiming:

 ‘Socialism means public ownership of the means of production. Obama does not believe this. Therefore he is not a socialist. … Although it is true that the federal government did come to own some private businesses as a consequence of bailout policies initiated by the George W. Bush administration such as (the Troubled Asset Relief Program), the Obama administration sold many of them — such as its shares in GM — as quickly as feasible. A true socialist would have held on to them.’

Perhaps in the truest form Obama is not a socialist, but that is only because that pesky Constitution does not allow for it.  It is better to describe Obama as a new-age socialist.  Take for example the GM take over.  What PolitiFacts failed to mention is that although Obama sold off the shares of GM and Chrysler, who was it that got 51% of those companies?  Was it the creditors, as the law would require so as to claim some of what they are owed, No.  Obama made sure the Unions got 51% ownership of the auto companies.  The government can not, per the Constitution nationalize a company but with a little twist of the law Obama made sure the auto companies would be owned by democrat supporting unions.  A true socialist can’t allow an industry to come under the ownership of a law abiding government that would set the companies loose to capitalism, no they must make sure any company acquired have to be under the thumb of the liberal/socialist democrat party.

The Constitution also prevents the government from taking private property, enter the EPA.  The EPA has been taking private property for years in the name of wet lands or a 2 inch fish or they try to overtake the Texas economy in the name of the clean air.  The EPA recently told an Idaho couple they couldn’t build their dream home on their land because it was on a wetland (even though there was no evidence the land was wet ever).  Most of the members of the Supreme Court chastised the EPA for their ruling. 

The EPA is Obama’s ability to reach beyond the laws to control people and corporations.  Quite often the EPA goes over the edge as it did just recently.  The EPA is now going to fine oil companies for not using a fuel that isn’t even in existence.  The EPA is going to require the use of cellulosic biofuels by oil companies, this is a fuel derived from wood chips, corn cobs and plant stems.  The problem with the idea is the only company attempting to make the fuel in any quantities, Range Fuels has gone bankrupt because they couldn’t make the fuel affordable.  If you are wondering if Range Fuels is another Solyndra, you would be correct.  Range Fuels received millions of our tax dollars to make this impossible fuel.  Obama needs to control corporations though, especially energy companies (because where are we without energy?  It’s about controlling us) so the rule that required oil companies to use this non-existent fuel goes on and when the companies fail to use the fuel, they are going to be fined millions of dollars with stiffer fines every year this fuel is not being used.

Obama recently made a non-recess appointment to a newly developed agency, the Consumer Protection Agency.  This new agency has no oversight, outside the President and the director is supposed to be confirmed by the Senate, unless the President un-constitutionally appoints them without Senate oversight.  This new agency will answer only to Obama.  Do you think this agency is about consumer protection?  Most likely this new agency will be another bureaucratic nightmare to small and large business’ throughout the US.

Obama is said to want Internet ID’s for all users of the Internet, but is suing states that require ID’s to vote.  See any hypocrisy there?  To a socialist this make complete sense.

Socialism and the Constitution can not occupy the same country at the same time, it’s simple physics.  What is a socialist to do then?  He does as Obama does, controls the country from inside, with unions and agencies with a liberal/socialist ideology that will force the socialist will in the name of saving various things…the children, the polar bears, or the environment.  These are more permanent in a Constitutional republic than a single socialist administration and accomplishes the same goal.

Maybe Obama isn’t a pure Socialist by definition, but try this definition…Obama is either a New Age Socialist or a Liberal Corporatist Socialist, you pick the best definition.

The republican side is ginning up for a prime time boxing match between Jon Bruning, Deb Fisher, and Don Stenberg.  This should be an interesting match.  One positive for Treasurer Stenberg, he won’t have to go up against Nelson if he wins the primary.  He lost to Nelson twice before.

The democrat side could be a boxing match as well…if Bob Kerrey doesn’t declare.  Nebraska democrats are hoping Bob would be a shoe in if he runs once again for the Senate and would be unopposed in the primary if he declares.  Kerrey was a popular governor in Nebraska, mostly conservative during is tenure in Lincoln, but most of us have forgotten his tenure in the US Senate, since it has been 12 years since his time in Washington.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane to remember who Bob Kerrey the US Senator was.

Quotes taken from the Democrat Underground tells the tale (Liberals love to talk about other successful liberals):

As a Senator, Kerrey had a relatively liberal voting record despite the fact that Nebraska is one of the most conservative states in the union. He was one of only a handful of senators, for example, to vote against the Defense of Marriage Act of 1996. Kerrey also led the opposition in the Senate to the proposed flag burning amendment, which failed to get the necessary two-thirds majority needed for passage. His record on economic issues was mixed but generally liberal. He voted against phasing out many farm subsidy programs, voted against lawsuit reform measures such as the Private Securities Litigations Reform Act, and he was one of the twelve senators to vote against the Personal Responsibility Act of 1995, a welfare reform bill vetoed by President Clinton (Clinton finally signed that bill which brought about a great surge in the economy, until Clinton’s tax hike threw cold water on the economy). Kerrey’s record on environmental issues and taxation was more moderate, and he was a strong supporter of free trade and limiting the size of the federal government.

Yes, ole’ Bob was quite the opposite person, once in Washington, I dare say Bob is MORE liberal than Ben Nelson.  As a matter of fact the Democrat Underground was praising Kerrey for being the liberal Nelson wasn’t.

I will never forget the day Bob Kerrey was the 60th and deciding vote for the Clinton tax hike (kind of reminds me of ole’ Ben being the 60th and deciding vote for Obamacare), that brought us a recession in 99′ that lasted until the Bush tax cuts could turn things around.  Seems both Senators are remembered for harming Americans.

If I can give the Nebraska democrats a bit of advice…please run Bob Kerrey for Senate, that would give me so much fun material to write about.  He would be easier to knock out of park than Ben Nelson was going to be.

Showdown: New Hampshire

Having started as a fishing colony and part of Taxachusetts, New Hampshire is distinguished today as the least relevant of the 13 original colonies.  It’s largest city has just over 100,000 people, most of whom wish they were Canadian. And yet, once again, despite its irrelevance, the nation turns its eyes to New Hampshire as the start of the Republican primaries.

The voting starts in New Hampshire on Tuesday, January 10 and, not surprisingly, the Republican candidates are in New Hampshire and pandering to these junior varsity Canadians like Barrack Obama after a cigarette.

For those who live in New Hampshire, but don’t have the time to learn the facts and specifics of each of the Republicans still in contention, Red State Report lays it out for you.

Mitt Romney:  The heir (hair?) apparent.  Looks presidential, has a lot of money, and an organized campaign.  He is a joint Harvard Law/Business grad.   Like any good Mormon, he has been married to the same woman since 1969 and about a half-dozen kids.  He is an astute businessman and perceived to be very credible in economics.  On the downside, he was Governor of Taxachusetts and seemed to flip/flop on the abortion issue, a litmus test for many on the right.  He also supported a statewide insurance mandate, which some have likened to Obamacare.  Having said that, He would make a far superior President than Obama.  So would a Garden Slug!

Rick Santorum:  Former Senator from Pennsylvania.  Perceived as a bedrock conservative with strong family value credentials.  He doesn’t have the Ivy League education, but holds a Masters in business and law degree.  Has his original wife and seven children.  On the plus side, Santorum is a long-term Washington insider, having served in both the House and the Senate, and understands Washington.  On the negative side, Santorum is a Washington insider.  Some rednecks also express concern he is a Papist.  Again, He would make a far superior President than Obama.  So would a Three Toed Sloth!

Newt Gingrich:  Former Speaker of the House of Representatives.  Newt is thrice married, although he has only claimed to loved one person:  Himself.  He is a PhD in history and the smartest man in the room, who, unfortunately, never lets you forget he’s the smartest man in the room.  To his credit, he has achieved remarkable career success, despite looking like a throwback to the age of Neanderthals.  Newt knows Washington, knows how to move legislation, was instrumental in the Republican takeover of Congress and the balanced budget.  To his detriment, he has compared himself to Woodrow Wilson and is perceived as a progressive, having supported insurance mandates prior to Romneycare and appearing in a commercial with Hillary “Pitbull Lips” Clinton regarding climate change.  Still, Newt would make a far superior President than Obama.  So would Lint!

Ron Paul:  Saving the best for last, Dr. Ron Paul is a physician and a long-time Member of the House of Representatives.  The Libertarian of the bunch, his positions on most economic and social issues – take the shackles off business and restore liberty to people – are greatly admired.  He once voted against a Congressional Gold Medal for Mother Theresa because it had a cost to the taxpayers of $5,000.  On the foreign policy front, many conservatives have referred to him as anything from naive to reckless in his desire to remove us from foreign entanglements.  Perhaps his greatest problem is his geriatric, pixie appearance, as if Gollum had sired a child with an elf. Dr. Ron Paul would be a far superior President than Obama.  If you want a small government Republican, Dr. Paul is peerless.

While New Hampshire is represents about 0.3 percent of the population, the winner of the New Hampshire Republican Primary will enter the South Carolina Primary (a state where people actually live!  Ask any Cornhusker Football Fan) with a definite boost.  Candidates finishing last in the primary will have their confidence shaken and their donations cut.  Regardless of who the winner is, he will make a far superior President to Obama.

Marvel, it was reported was toying with making the new Spiderman gay (if they did already, I’m not sure, I don’t follow Spiderman) and about a year ago “Archie” comics introduced their gay character… sadly, it wasn’t Jughead.

This year, Archie is going one step further…A gay wedding!

Fresh off of the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, Lt. Kevin Keller an Iraq war vet is marrying his African-American physical therapist, Clay Walker (No, not the singer…Sounds like movie Delta Farce).  Mr. Keller meets Dr. Clay Walker at a hospital’s rehabilitation unit.  While Dr. Walker helps Kevin regain his ability to walk, the two develop a friendship.  It’s not until a chance encounter at an airport that they start dating, which eventually leads to their marriage in Riverdale.

I believe this to be a dangerous area and I am talking about more than the obvious attempt to indoctrinate kids into backing gay marriage.  This is about the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationships.  It is highly unethical for a doctor to get involved with his patients.  To portray such activity, in a well known comic, is to be complacent and to promote such unethical activities from doctors of all stripes as though it is normal.

Ok, back to reality…of sorts.

This issue of Archie is bringing out rave reviews from such organizations as of course, GLAAD,  LGBT and the ACLU.  The ACLU remarked on the Archie comic as follows:

“It’s exciting that the fictional denizens of Riverdale, like their real world Midwestern counterparts in Iowa, and in five other states (plus D.C.) in the U.S., recognize that the ability to marry and make a lifetime commitment to the person you love is totally normal.  It shows what so many of us already know – what defines a marriage is love and commitment. That is a value the ACLU supports, and we work hard to secure marriage for same-sex couples and win legal recognition for LGBT.

Well, it was liberal judges and a liberal governor who set up gay marriage in Iowa, not the good people of Iowa,  and everybody who had a part in making gay marriage law in Iowa are now unemployed.  So spoke the electorate! I do not recall the issue of Archie where Riverdale voted to legalize gay marriage, but as I stated, its relevance went out with Disco.

This may hurt a bit in the butt, but it is no surprise however that the ACLU only stands for liberal (more likely communist) beliefs.  I guess you might say ACLU stands for…American Crazy Liberal Union.

Ok, I may be going a little overboard about a comic that has clearly seen it’s zenith in sells decades ago.  I would be surprised if kids now-a-days even know about the Archie comics.  I would expect the Liza Menelli crowd will gobble this up.

BREAKING NEWS – Atlanta, Georgia – The Center for Disease Control and Prevention state that they have no record of Al Sharpton, Donald Trump, or Jesse Jackson ever contracting an STD, even though all three are notorious camera whores.

BREAKING NEWS – Manchester, New Hampshire – In an attempt to get the vote from all groups no matter how small, Mitt Romney states that he is happy to get the endorsement of Arizona Senator John McCain. Romney added, that because of McCain’s age, his endorsement should help secure the votes of Egyptian republicans that are also mummies.

BREAKING NEWS – Des Moines, Iowa – Congressman Ron Paul smiles to contain his anger against his staff, after repeatedly warning them to never allow the American flag to be displayed in his presence. He said he prefers to only see the one he designed, which replaces all of the 50 stars with swastikas.

BREAKING NEWS – Anchorage, Alaska – The ACLU files a lawsuit against the Anchorage Police Department for the death of a mentally unstable snowman. They allege that the police did not act reasonable by putting the snowman in a holding cell at room temperature for nine hours. The city coroner stated that he could not be certain of the cause of death, because he has never performed an autopsy on slush.

BREAKING NEWS – Lynn, Massachusetts – Eighty year old Claire Butcher has been threatened with being tossed into jail for 30 days for feeding the ducks at Flax Pond. The town council has stated that because Butcher constantly feeds the water fowl, they have absolutely no desire to fly south for the winter. Wildlife officials have renamed the lazy birds that won’t fend for themselves and want food given to them, calling them ”occupier ducks”.
