Is life imitating art? Funny how a cartoon can imitate life so well. In the Simpsons’ episode “New Kid on the Block”, Homer takes Sea Captain Horatio McCallister to court because he was denied all he could eat seafood, while still hungry, at The Frying Dutchman’s all-you-can-eat buffet. Wisconsin’s own Bill Wisth had the same problem at Chuck’s Place. 6 foot 6, 350 pound Wisth, was denied his thirteenth piece of fish, during the bottomless fish fry. So he decided to call the police and picket Chuck’s ‘poor business practices’ every Sunday, until he changes his ‘food abuse’ policy. If a bartender can be put in jail for serving a drunken patron an additional drink, should a restaurateur  be thrown in jail for over serving the obese? False advertising is the claim of plaintiff. This can only happen in a first world country, with our economy collapsing, the next fight might be over government issued cheese and peanut butter. I think Mr. Wisth could recruit Rosie O’Donnell’s help and Oprah could make it a t.v. movie of the week on her network about his plight. If Bono (who made a billion dollars today, wonder if he will share it with the world)hears about ‘food abuse’ you can bet he will try to get other rock stars together for a charity concert and raise money for it. As Homer’s attorney Lionel Hutz would say, “this is the most blatant case of fraudulent advertising since my suit against the film “The Never Ending Story”.

This story came across my Facebook page. Eight girls, from an all-girls catholic Presentation High School, share one of the world’s most popular surnames- Nguyen- (think Smith/Johnson). The girls, not being related,  put a creative spin in their high school yearbook . Dressed and styled similar, yes I know it is called a drape and not a dress, coordinated their wiity additions to the yearbook staff for publication. Those surnames should look out for the Murphy or Kemp clans. NBA’s Calvin Murphy and Shawn Kemp has the distinction of fathering 13 and 12 children respectively and neither player has been spayed or neutered.

Friday marks the day where FaceBook will have its initial public offering (IPO) of its stock.  Facebook puts its value at around $38 a share, valuing the company at a little over $108 billion.  The company’s creators stand to make enough money that Eduardo Saverin has renounced his citizenship to avoid taxes.  A move that didn’t go unnoticed by Senators Chuck Schumer and Bob Casey.  Both of them called a news conference and said Mr. Saverin has “insulted and spit in the eyes of the American people” and anyone forfeiting their citizenship should not be allowed to get it back. I realize its a big shocker to have a democrat senator go after a citizen trying to protect their income. I’m impressed that both senators are trying to take his money the old fashion way, through cohercion and taxes.  Because with over 800 million users of the social network site, that would be a lot of new friends asking the new billionaires for a lot of money.

Hollywood honored the Bionic Woman Lindsay Wagner, with her own Star on the Walk-of-Fame this week. The featured speaker, on Lindsay’s behalf, was Wonder Woman Lynda Carter. Jamie Sommers (Bionic Woman) had a near death sky-diving accident. Then the Bionic Man,  Steve Austin, intervenes with the help of his pal Oscar (director of the Office of Scientific Intelligence) giving her advance hearing, a stronger arm, and faster stronger legs. The ability to put the toilet seat down without nagging, and to share her feelings in a timely manner, while adding reason and logic, sadly  were not on the list.  The Office of Scientific Intelligence blew their chance to create the perfect woman. The stunningly gorgeous, 60+ year old, superheroes were bringing back strange dreams and unknown sensations to every teenage boy  and nerd had while watching the two on the television. Too bad Wonder Woman didn’t have the lasso of truth. She could do wonders for the public by starting with every politician in Washington.

And speaking of Washington and superheroes, more information has come to light about the night Obama got Bin Laden. Since we are in a fierce political season, with the nation’s highest office at stake, the Obama camp has been leaking additional details to impress the public. See below.  Now we know why Obama spends so much time golfing…it’s to protect America.

The DNC was smiling after the primary, looking like the cat who ate the canary.  Their candidate, Bob Kerrey will be taking on an inexperienced, unknown candidate…Deb Fischer.

There are two distinct problems for the democrats:

1. Their candidate is known! Bob Kerrey is as left-wing as Obama and it is well known that Kerrey would be a “yes” man for Obama.  Polls conducted a few months ago showed Kerrey polling worse in Nebraska than his predecessor, Ben (stab Nebraska in the back with a forced government healthcare scalpel) Nelson for whom it was common knowledge would lose big if he ran for re-election. Remember Clinton Stoogie Kerry was the decisive vote for the largest tax increase heaped upon the American people.  He can be counted on by the party, just like Ben, when bad policy is on the line.
2. Although Deb Fischer is unknown nationally, that doesn’t mean she is unknown within Nebraska.  Nebraska has a small population which makes it easier to be very aware of our own people without the nation having a clue.  Fischer has the advantage of being a rancher in a state that is still largely dependent on it’s agrarian economy, as opposed to Kerrey who is a Washington insider living off the favors granted him for his liberal voting record in the Senate.  We, as Nebraskans, will be exposed to his Vietnam service, which is admirable, but it doesn’t grant you a political license to steal, through taxes, our hard earned money.  Kaddafi was a war hero too.

“In the case of Bob Kerrey, we already know who he is,” Republican Gov. Dave  Heineman said, who remained neutral in the primary, told POLITICO. “It’s a choice  between a Nebraskan with Nebraska values and a Nebraskan with New York values.  And if this seat is so important, Bob Kerrey must answer, ‘Why did he leave us  12 years ago?’”

Values and loyality may not matter in states like New York, which gave a carpet-bagger a seat in the US Senate…Hillary Clinton, but in a state like Nebraska values and loyality means everything.  Bob Kerry’s biggest appointment, next to putting the cheese frenchee on his restaurant menu, was having Arjun Appadurai serve as Provost at New University.  Here is an excerpt on what Mr. Appadurai believes and wrote about Obama the next day after his election. “… America has brought magic back into politics, something that organized religion in this country has become too transcendent to do. Americans have voted for magic and we should be proud of that fact.”  Nothing to see here behind the curtain, right Bob.

That maybe the best news for Bob Kerrey…when he loses in Nebraska, he can always go back to New York and run for a Senate seat there.

Here is a campaign video that spells out the hurdles Bob Kerrey will have to cross in order to win, but being that Kerrey has none of the values spelled out in this commercial it will be a large steep hill with hurdles for him and he may need some of that Obama magic his Provost and other liberal elites love to pontificate about.

So who is it that will vote for Obama come November?  OK, we obviously know those communistic deviants from the Occupy crowd will vote for Obama if they can put down the bricks they are hurling at banks or stop defecating on police cars long enough to get to the polling booth.  These depraved individuals are fortunately few and far between, but are a large part of Obama constituency yet that still leaves a lot of the population out there.

Recently I had a conversation with a friend.  I know this friend and her husband to be very intelligent individuals and devout Catholics, as a matter of fact I envy her dedication to Catholicism, I only hope I will get there one day.  Having said that both of these people are likely to vote for Obama again.  Neither are liberals and I would say they share many of the same moral and economic values that I have.

Granted, I am sure they are not as obsessed with current events as I am, my obsession borders on a pathological illness.  Still how do those of us who see everything Obama has done to this country convince these intelligent reasonable people to think twice about voting Obama?

We must share the truth backed by hard core facts.

First,  The economy:  The unemployment rate is down to 8.1%.  Did we get there through a large number of new hires…No!  Only 115,000 people found jobs in April, a dismal showing and not completely responsible for the overall rate of unemployment going down.  The real reason is nearly 1 million people have dropped off the statistical map by giving up completely on finding a job since the last report.   The workforce participation rate is at a 30 year low .  Not since coming out of the malaise of the Carter years have we seen such a weak workforce.  Don’t get sucked into Obama’s propaganda commercial touting 4 million new jobs, there are millions more out of work who have Obama to blame directly for their woes.

Second: Why is the job market so bad?  Obama is running the economy in the manner in which he learned it should work.  Obama subscribes to the social economic models set forth in the philosophies of Plato, Thomas Moore, Thomas Hobbs and Karl Marx.  These are models that have been proven over and over through the centuries to be dismal failures, leading only to complete tyrannies.  Obama and his liberal friends believe they are smarter than those who came before them and they can make socialism work.  It’s simple, take from those who have and give to those who need (as the government defines it).  Obama has a willing accomplice in Warren Buffet, who wants to be taxed more, yet is current fighting the IRS about $1 billion he currently owes the Treasury.

Obama is micromanaging the economy with numerous regulations costing companies, large and small around $400 billion over the next 10 years just from Obama’s regulations.  Let’s not forget the largest regulatory law…Obamacare!  The conversation I had with my friend covered these issues.  She said the free market economy isn’t working anymore but agreed with me that socialism is not the answer either.  It didn’t take long before she agreed we no longer are working with a free market.  The government (from both sides of the isle) are regulating the “free” part out of free market.  Corporatism has infected the government, but Obama is the King with his give aways to “green” companies that go bankrupt and to the Unions (example: allowing the UAW to purchase majority ownership in GM before GM’s creditors as the law requires).  Bush was guilty of this to some degree and I will not tell you Romney would not be involved in it either, but Romney does understand the regulations and micromanaging the economy is ruining it.  Remember Romney has run a business before, whether you like that or hate him for it he has run a business.  Also remember Romney ran his business no differently than Warren Buffet and everybody loves Uncle Warren.  Obama hasn’t so much as run a lemonade stand.  Everything has been handed to Obama on a silver platter, so it stands he doesn’t understand free market economics.

Third:Obama is attacking certain segments of the population–he is not a uniter, but is a great divider.  We know there is an all out attack on the Catholics and their First amendment rights.  Obama announced hisgreat compromise with the Catholic church which turned out to be an accounting trick.  Dan Savage, who is on the speaking circuit with the blessing of the Obama administration, is bashing all that is Christian even though he is suppose to be discussing “Bullying”.

Then we have Obama referring to the Tea Party members as “teabaggers“, which has a sick sexual meaning to it.

Obama is at war with the Supreme Court.  Before they have even publicized their decision on Obamacare, Obama was making veiled threats toward SCOTUS.  This is not the first time either, Obama criticized SCOTUS during a State of the Union address a few years ago, which has never been done before.

The Wall Street Journal has been investigating Obama’s “enemy” list which includes any big donors to the Romney campaign.  These donors are finding the President castigate them in public and some have been investigated by private investigators being linked back to the Obama campaign or Obama’s Super PAC’s.  Kind of reminds me of the Soviet Politburo.

Fourth, Energy: Obama has waged war on the current energy infrastructure.  The Obama EPA has been shutting down coal mining throughout the country and has shut down oil drilling on federal lands.  All of this in favor of his “green” energy economy.  How has that turned out?  Multiple bankruptcies from green energy companies that received millions of our tax dollars in the Stimulus Bill of Obama’s.  Obama’s “all the above” energy pledge only applies to wind, solar and algae.

There are so many reasons to fear another four years of Obama, I can’t possibly list all the reason in one article.  I recommend reading any of the many articles that are here on the Red State Report.

I do hope my friend won’t think I have an anger problem if she reads my articles, I already got scolded by her because I paid my daughter for each goal she scores during soccer games.

The closed primary showed the nation they would rather vote for a convicted criminal over their own incumbent. Mr. Judd is serving time for extortion, wearing a dead raccoon on his head and making threats.  Sounds just like the Chicago way to me and finally we have a politician in the slammer before being in office.  This could spell doom for the democrat party in November.  Since they already encourage felons the right to vote, along with the illegal aliens, those who have broken the law will have a real choice to make in the upcoming election.

America’s favorite Sweathog, John Travolta, has gotten himself into a sticky mess. Grease is the word, John Travolta overcome with Saturday night fever, is being accused for touching his male masseuse’s “boom box”. Magic Hands wishes to extort $2 million dollars from Mr. Travolta. John has turned over his flight records and receipts to prove he was in New York on the day the accuser made his allegations. And since he was friends with Obama’s birth certificate guy, John was able to knock off 15 years on his age. Stories such as these have been following John and fellow Scientologist Tom Cruise for many years. I would feel more embarrassed for making Battlefield Earth than this incident. We all want a happy ending to this, but sometimes you just have to wait for it.

New research suggests dinosaur’s bodily gases  are to blame for earth’s changing climate.  Scientists calculate that the enormous amounts of methane released by the average dinosaur, was more than all the sources of animal and man-made ones that are released today. Methane is a more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide, with a stronger ability to trap heat. Apparently, the scientists involved in the research have not visited Rosie O’Donnell’s house after a Thanksgiving dinner.

I never figured out the media’s romantic attachment to the Occupy movement versus their distain of the Tea Party.  Maybe it is because destructive anarchists make better news than well behaved constitutionally minded citizens.

The lastest round of primaries prove that although the Tea Party may not be holding rallies, it lives in the hearts and the minds of all those citizens out there hoping for a return to constitutional sanity.  The media is already calling this loss the death of the political center.  They are mourning the ability of the republicans (it’s always the republicans) to reach across the isle to get a deal done.  If I had George Soros’ money I would put out a thousand dollar bounty for anyone to tell me the last time the democrats reached across the isle for a compromise.  My recollection is anytime they don’t get their way, they threaten to shut down government- which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

In Indiana alone (my old stomping grounds) the Tea Party favorite State Treasurer Mourdock pummuled Sen Richard Lugar–Obama’s favorite republican, by 61%.  Mr Mourdock, told CNN today, ” I don’t think there are going to be a lot of  successful compromises”.  Bipartisanship to him means the democrats voting for republican ideas.  Republicans — and just about everybody — can move back toward the ideological center just as soon as we get a President who is not an anti-capitalist left wing ideologue.  Dick Lugar blames partisanship for his defeat by a more conservative candidate. This is denial from a man too long disconnected to reality and too used to stockholm syndrome.

The Sons and Daughters of Liberty, sans the mowhawk, have answered the bugle cry of freedom once again, in Indiana.  Come November, the silent, employed, freshly showered, freedom loving majority of the country will answer her call once again.

In the following video Batman will try to educate those who are of the Occupy group or any young budding liberal who just needs a mental compass to get them moving in the correct direction.

When you think about it, who better to speak to the young people about class warfare, but Bruce Wayne?  Everybody loves him, but he is part of the hated 1% who happens to be very philanthropic and a kick-butt crime fighter.

You might ask: Is this the real Batman?  Well he sounds like Batman, kind of looks like him too although he could fill out his Bat suit a little better.  Who knows, maybe he just got over a really bad stomach flu and lost a few pounds.  The intellect is still there, so you can choose to believe it’s Batman or not, but I guarentee the message is real.

If the Occupy crowd can’t learn from Batman, maybe Batman should team up with Iron Man another multi-billionaire.  Considering the multi-millions The Avengers is bringing in, Iron Man may want to step up with Batman to fight this hideous enemy….Ignorance.

Obama has done darn little correctly as President.  The only two things Obama has done right is OK’ing the Osama mission, which we find out now Obama had a responsibility escape clause built into the mission.  A memo drafted by Obama officials made sure Obama was blame free if the mission went badly:

A recently disclosed memorandum from then-CIA Director Leon Panetta shows that the president’s celebrated derring-do in authorizing the operation included a responsibility-escape clause: ‘The timing, operational decision making and control are in Admiral McRaven’s hands. The approval is provided on the risk profile presented to the President. Any additional risks are to be brought back to the President for his consideration. The direction is to go in and get bin Laden and if he is not there, to get out.’

Which is to say, if the mission went wrong, the fault would be Adm. McRaven’s, not the president’s.

What do you expect from the coward?  Obama is a lawyer (without a license anymore) so he will be able to skirt responsibility.

The other correct decision Obama has made is to increase drone strikes, particularly in Pakistan.  It is this decision that Obama is putting to an end with a new executive order.

Last week Obama went to Afghanistan to meet with Karzai to sign a document that stated they would agree to meet at a later date.  The document had more of an agreement than a timeline with which to get together for a play-date again.

During those meetings, Obama promised Karzai that the US would no longer launch any attacks against al-Quaida from Afghan soil.  This also includes any drone attacks launched from bases in Afghanistan.

The most significant statement is found in paragraph 6b.  The statement reads:

“The United States further pledges not to use Afghan territory or facilities as a launching point for attacks against other countries.”

Obama is taking the only weapon the US has against Al-Qaeda away from the military.  Al-Qaeda can literally set up on the border of Pakistan and shell the Marines just across the border in Afghanistan and now the Marines can do nothing in retaliation or for protection from the shelling.  Al-Qaeda can use any military instillation near the border as target practice and entertainment, while the American military sits and watches, helplessly, their friends die without being able to do anything outside of move the base.  Yes, there is at least one instillation on the border, Camp Dwyer a Marine base in the Helmand River Valley near the Pakistan border.

Idiotic decisions like this haven’t been made since President Johnson decided to limit action into countries surrounding Vietnam from which the Vietcong were picking off our brave troops.

Obama has to look good to his anti-war constituents, so he will limit our ability to strike back all for votes!

Obama Lied and Troops Died!

Michelle Obama is fresh off a major legislative victory.  The child nutrition legislation passed in a bipartisan manner (to include my own Republican Representative, Jeff Fortenberry) without much fanfare.

This legislation is aimed at the alarming rate of obesity among the youth.  The bill establishes nutrition standards for all school meals, and encourages schools to use locally produced food.  The $4.5 billion child nutrition bill would also ban greasy food and sugary soft drinks from schools.

While I see the value of a balanced meal for lunches and I am not a fan of soft drinks being readily available in grade schools (by high school the kids should be able to make the decision for themselves), this bill, in great socialist fashion, goes too far.

For the first time ever, schools will have to apply USDA standards outside the school cafeteria.  This means the standards will be in-force for events such as bake sales and concession sales at sporting events.

I love broccoli as much as anybody else, but when I’m watching my local high school football team I don’t want to be chomping down on broccoli while drinking imported water.  I want my Godfather’s pizza and a Coke!  I eat nutritiously at home and enjoy the less nutritious things outside of my house.  I am an adult and I can choose what is best for me.

While this child nutrition law was passed with good intentions in mind by at least those in Congress (I still think it’s another Obama socialist take over) it completely misses its mark.  These regulations did not exist while I was in school and there were not many obese kids in my school.  Why?  It’s very simple.  As children we regularly went outside to play, even in winter.  We did not have electronic devices to babysit us all day until we went to bed.  We rode bikes and ran everywhere and usually did not go inside until our parents came calling for us, at twilight.

We don’t need more government intervention in the schools…I want my pizza!

UPDATE: The state of Massachusetts has outlawed bake sales in order to adhere to new nutritional standards.

“The nosh clampdown targets so-called ‘competitive’ foods — those sold or served during the school day in hallways, cafeterias, stores and vending machines outside the regular lunch program, including bake sales, holiday parties and treats dished out to reward academic achievement.”

“State officials are pushing schools to expand the ban 24/7 to include evening, weekend and community events such as banquets, door-to-door candy sales and football games.”

New York has already taken these steps, which state is next?

Because there is a loophole in the tax code, around 2 million illegal aliens are getting tax refunds for children they claim live in Mexico.  One might ask if these are the children of the “undocumented worker” and the answer to that is….NO!  Most all the children listed on the IRS forms are listed as nieces or nephews.

One example you will see in the video describes an illegal alien listing 4 adults in his house with 20 children!  The investigator went to the house to check on the 24 people in the house, what he found was a trailer house with one child and two adults.

Thank you to WTHR Channel 13 in Indianapolis for actually doing their job.  This is an example of what journalism should be.  I do hope the main stream media will take note and learn from this.  I know that will never happen and a story like this will only be seen on local news channels as the lame stream media will not put anything negative about Obama in the public eye during an election year.

Apparently the IRS knows about this fraud but is doing nothing about it.  It is worth noting the investigator for channel 13 did contact the IRS for a statement, but they were too busy to answer any questions.  Obama increased their budget by 125% since he has taken office and they don’t have the personnel to answer questions about proven fraud??  Makes sense, the IRS are experts at throwing our direct tax dollars away why would they be able to handle a large budget increase like the one Obama gave them.  I’ll bet the IRS parties would make the GSA’s parties look like a simple cookout.

BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – Mitt Romney continues to get very little nationwide support on his recent suggestion on how to deal with high gas prices.

BREAKING NEWS – Chicago, Illinois – Even though OWN is on the verge of bankruptcy losing over $100 million in 2011, Oprah Winfrey is trying to get a loan for her struggling company. A source close to her stated that every bank turned her down, and they all told her that the only organization that would give her a loan for $100 million, knowing that the company plans to file for bankruptcy, is the Obama Administration.

BREAKING NEWS – Kabul, Pakistan – The Taliban launch several suicide bomb attacks, protesting President Obama’s recent surprise visit to Pakistan. They stated that the primary source of their anger, was that Obama violated the basic common courtesy in the Book of Etiquette, which is to call ahead instead of just showing up unannounced.

BREAKING NEWS – Troy, New York – ACLU President Sandra Herman, comes under fire after speaking at the Sanctuary for Independent Media. She stated that using the term “illegal alien” instead of “undocumented workers”, is bigoted and should be construed as hate speech. Herman said she also objected to the word “rapist”, and prefers the term, “men that impose aggressive sex on unsuspecting women”.

BREAKING NEWS – Atlanta, Georgia – Rumors continue to circulate regarding the senility of former President Jimmy Carter. Questions about his mental state arose from a book signing, when Carter had to ask a fan to help him spell his own name. A spokesman for the former president stated that this is not newsworthy, because he had the exact same issues when he was in the White House.

BREAKING NEWS – Plano, Texas – JC Penney announces that since Ellen DeGeneres has become their spokesperson, sales of women’s clothing in their stores has increased dramatically. Especially in the “butch” section.

The reality of the decision is more like:

Obama sitting back with his feet propped up on the historic desk he happens to be using and inesscents placed an order from Netflix.  What is the flix Obama is ordering?  The killing of Osama! Obama placed the order for this action flix, then finally while waiting for the flix to be delivered decided to play another (of many) round of golf.  Then came the news, the movie is about to start.  Obama raced to the White House to view the movie and it delivered all he had hoped for in a movie it has a helicopter wreck, followed by an explosion then room-to-room tense action until Osama was found then dispatched of.

This is about how brave Obama’s part really was.  Everybody knows the real brave individuals were and are Seal Team 6.  That does not stop Obama from patting himself on the back though.  Recently Obama was in Afghanistan visiting the troops giving a shout out….to himself.

While addressing soldiers at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan, the president started giving shout outs to different military units “in the house,” each time eliciting cheers from the crowd. But after calling out a couple of those names, he quickly turned to evoking his own: “And we’ve got me in the house.”

I have never even seen Bill Clinton do that and we know what a narcissist he is.

I should give Obama a little slack as this is the only thing he will have to run on during the general election.  Everybody has heard Obama claim that Romney wouldn’t have made the same call.  I love how Obama can always claim as fact something that can’t ever be proven…Romney wouldn’t have made the same call…then there’s the famous…I saved or created 2 million jobs. It doesn’t take much to prove Obama is wrong in this case though, using Romney’s own words from 2007 and it is Romney’s words that give me a great sense of security if he wins the Presidency:

In 2007 Mitt Romney understood the Muslim world better than Obama, who was Muslim at one point.  Does Egypt and Syria come to mind?  That is exactly what Romney predicted 5 years ago.  To date, the Obama State Department thinks they can have a normal relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood, which is an extreme Islamists group.  Obama also thinks he can have peace talks with the Taliban that will be meaningful and the Taliban will be a responsible, humane governing partner to the existing Afghanistan government.   Of course hours after Obama left Kabul, the Taliban blew up a building killing around seven Afghans.

We now know Romney has a great grasp on foreign policy and the Muslim world.  Obama can pat himself on the back, but the reality is he is a moron with respect to any subject he is involved with.

Obama’s State Department is giving away seven strategic, resource-laden Alaskan islands to the Russians.  The  endangered (Alaskan)  islands are in the Arctic Ocean and Bering Sea including one the size of Rhode Island and Delaware combined. The Russians are also to get the tens of thousands of square miles of oil-rich seabeds surrounding the islands. The Department of Interior estimates billions of barrels of oil are at stake.

If you are going to be serious about the issue of bullying then you must appoint a czar.  Who would be the perfect czar?  Somebody who can sympathize with particularly the gay community (because regular nerds and I was one once, don’t really count).  Enter Dan Savage.  Dan isn’t just part of the gay community, he is a gay rights advocate and the author of a sex column…Savage Love.  Click here for a sample, but I warn you the language is vulgar and it is NC-17 but I wouldn’t even let a 17 year old read this c^@*.

As many as 100 high school students walked out of a national journalism conference after an anti-bullying speaker began cursing, attacked the Bible and reportedly called those who refused to listen to his rant “pansy asses.” …

Savage was supposed to be delivering a speech about anti-bullying at the National High School Journalism Conference sponsored by the Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association. But it turned into an episode of Christian-bashing.

Rick Tuttle, the journalism advisor for Sutter Union High School in California, was among several thousand people in the audience. He said they thought the speech was one thing – but it turned into something else.

“I thought this would be about anti-bullying,” Tuttle told Fox news. “It turned into a pointed attack on Christian beliefs.”

Tuttle said a number of his students were offended by Savage’s remarks – and some decided to leave the auditorium.

“It became hostile,” he said. “It felt hostile as we were sitting in the audience – especially towards Christians who espouse beliefs that he was literally taking on.”

Savage seems the perfect fit for the Obama administration as the “bullying czar”.  Obama hired such people as Van Jones, an avowed communist as the  former ”Green Jobs” czar.  Then there’s John Holdren, President Obama’s “science czar,”  whose personnel were accused of providing vital nuclear information that helped the Soviet Union build an atom bomb.  Holdren argues for Global Warming but has pushed Global Cooling in the past.  Jeffrey Crowley (AIDS czar) will push free health care for gays, why not for anybody else? How about  Ed Montgomery, the auto czar, he expressed the Left’s hostility to free markets.

Obama has a tendency to hire czars that are aptly qualified to tear America apart.

He explained that the agents that are paid to protect him, should not have the extra financial burden of buying at retail, antibiotics and penicillin.

BREAKING NEWS – Greensboro, North Carolina – John Edwards continues denying that he covered up his affair with his mistress Rielle Hunter, stating that was beneath him. He then explained, that he bribed other people to cover up the affair, and he had nothing to do with the implementation of their tactics.

BREAKING NEWS – Los Angeles, California – The L.A. Police are now getting involved with the on court incident, in which L.A. Laker forward Metta World Peace, threw an elbow that gave Oklahoma guard James Hardin a concussion. They are currently reviewing an email, in which Vanessa Bryant offered Metta World Peace $200,000.00 to do the exact same thing to Kobe

BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – Former Regional Commissioner of the GSA (General Services Administration) Jeff Neely, finally comments on the scandal regarding over a million dollars being spent in Las Vegas. Neely explained that he could produce receipts that will prove that he tried to keep the costs down while relaxing in his lavish suite, by only ordering a domestic wine rather than imported.

BREAKING NEWS – Los Angeles, California – Former “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson, is in trouble regarding her taxes. According to the IRS, Anderson has owed more than $500,000.00 since 2009, but she hasn’t been prosecuted. After hearing this, the Black Panthers are demanding the immediate release of Wesley Snipes.

Coach Pelini is a surrogate father for the players at Nebraska and in some cases he and the assistant coaches become the only father some players know.  That is why it is important to have a coach like Ron Brown, to offer a chance for a moral background.

Until recently, most of the sporting world knew Ron Brown as the coach who lead the prayer at the beginning of the Penn State-Nebraska game.  It was a wonderful sports spectacle, showing what sports should be.

Coach Brown is in the headlines now for his religious beliefs, but now he is being crucified by some people.

Ron Brown, the person, has testified against an ordinance debated (later passed) by the Omaha city council which would extend civil rights to gay, lesbian,transgendered, and/or bisexual persons.  Ron Brown opposed the ordinance based on primarily his biblical beliefs as well as the belief that such an ordinance would lead to unwarranted lawsuits.  Ron’s point was about sin. That is not to say that he or any of us live without sin.  We are all sinners, it is just a human deficiency.  We are called to repent for our sins and try not to repeat them.  There in lies the difference.  The LGBT lifestyle is, as the bible defines, a lifestyle in sin however it is these very people who are trying to normalize this behavior.  Ron Brown is akin to John the Baptist, crying out “repent” while people like Barbara Baier are much like King Herrod  and would have Ron Brown be-headed.

Ms. Baier has been quoted as saying Ron Brown used his faith to attack gay and transgendered people and he referred to a “mysterious gay agenda”.

First: To object to an ordinance giving special favor to the LBGT community is not attacking as Brown did not attack, unless you are offended by the realization that you are a sinner (I know that I sin, so to call me a sinner does not offend me because I know there are things I must work on and I try to better myself, it is a life long struggle. I do not try to normalize my deficiencies).

Second: There is no mystery to the gay agenda.  Part of the agenda is to force churches of all stripes to accept their lifestyle, even though it is defined as sinful.  Just ask the churches in Hutchinson Kansas.  The city council in Hutchinson is debating an ordinance that would force churches to host gay marriages within their churches.  Then there is Ocean Grove Methodist Church which was forced by a single judge to allow a gay marriage on their grounds.  Don’t forget the big win in the military and Obama and Holder unilaterally deciding DOMA was unconstitutional (It would seem the Supreme Court is staying busy reversing much of Obama’s extra-constitutional movements, i.e. Obamacare and Arizona Illegal Alien law).  To act dumb to any “Gay Agenda” is just being stupid Ms. Baier.

Ms. Baier is just making a preemptive strike against Ron Brown as the Lincoln city council is about to bring up an ordinance similar to Omaha’s.  Ron Brown will be there to make his feelings known, just as those who are for the ordinance will be there.  Everybody is allowed to voice their opinions, unless they disagree with liberals.  If you voice an opinion counter to the liberal belief then you must be destroyed and that is what Barbara Baier is attempting to do to Coach Brown.

Ms. Baier is trying to get Coach Brown fired.  Coach Ron Brown has stated that if he gets fired then it’s the least of penalties that Christians have suffered for their beliefs.  Coach Brown views his Christianity as the most important thing in his life.  Remember Ron Brown is just voicing his spiritual views he knows to be true.  He has stated: Being gay is a sin, but those who are gay still deserve the grace of God and that is ultimately what Ron Brown seeks. Ron Brown is not the same as those inbreds from Westboro Baptist Church, they are disgusting.

A lesser University would give into liberal pressure, but I will give kudo’s to the University of Nebraska.  Chancellor Harvey Pearlman has stated, that although he does not personally agree with Ron Brown, Ron can voice his opinion as he likes as an individual.  Being a coach at NU does not take away their First Amendment rights.  Ron Brown has the solid support of AD Tom Osborne and Coach Bo Pelini, as long as he speaks for himself and does not pretend to speak for the University.

I want to thank the University of Nebraska for respecting First Amendment rights and I want to thank Ron Brown for being brave enough to remind all of us what is really important….Our relationship with God.

Detasseling was demanding, not as physically demanding as other farm jobs I had done but a test of endurance as the days were long but rewarding.  Unlike the family farm, detasseling was my first experience working for a real employer and not having the protection of my family there with me.  I learned how to work hard for an unrelated employer and how to deal with other kids, some nice and easy to get along with…another, as big as Arnold Schwarzenegger, dumb as a rock and not a guy you wanted to have his mischievous eyes on.  I was not unnoticed, but I learned how to get around that behemoth of man, (who is probably just getting out of prison now, he had his trouble with the law).  It was during this 2 week period I got to experience the songs from Van Halen (yes, this was many years ago, Van Halen was relatively new to the Rock scene), the high schools kids were playing the new album in the back of the bus.

It was a good experience and this was during a time when kids did hard work, and there were not as many obese kids out there.  There was a lot of scrawny strong kids out there though.

Today because of the wonders of technology, many of the jobs I did as a kid no longer exist.  Machines do much of the work I used to do, with the exception of detasseling.

Enter the NRLB (National Relations Labor Board).  This is the entity who is famous for stopping Boeing from opening a aircraft plant in South Carolina because it was in a “Right to Work”state, which allows companies to be non-union if the laborers wish.  Let us not forget, the NRLB has Obama’s blessings for all it does.

The NRLB is evaluating a study from the National Ag Safety Database, which is studying the effects of farm work on children under 18 year of age.

It is believed that the NRLB will use this study to stop the use of young teenagers in farm work, outside the family.  This would directly impact the detasseling industry.  Dawn Buell with NATS (Not Afraid To Sweat) fears this will affect their detasseling business.

If this happens it will not only end the chance for young teenagers to make good money for good hard work, but will increase the cost of detasseling to both the detasseling business’s and the farmers.

With the NRLB involved they will probably require that detasseling be done by union work, with benefits and a retirement package, thus forcing this industry down the same hole the American auto industry is in.  Don’t worry though, the NRLB caused unemployed overweight public can bail this industry out just as we did the auto industry.

UPDATE:  Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis is putting the finishing touches on a new Child Labor regulation.  This regulation would affect farm children.  Children under the age of 18 would be restricted from the storing, marketing and transportation of farm products, this would prohibit farm children from being anywhere near grain elevators,  grain bins, silos, feed lots, stockyards, livestock exchanges and livestock auctions.

Not only would this negatively affect the farm parent’s, now having to hire work previously done by the children, it also negatively affects the children, first losing out on much needed  value of hard work and learning the in’s and out’s of a farm.

With that hard work comes a lot of family bonding, which would be taken away from these families by Obama’s Labor Department.  I remember, fondly my experiences taking corn or beans to the grain elevator, the hard work done in the livestock pins and the fun we had as a family during all those occasions.

Obama is threatening to take away the value of hard work from our children but also is threatening family cohesiveness as well.  Obama needs to keep his city-slicker, community agitating experience out of the farm and everybody else’s lives.

There are sports figures that have set good examples for their fans, and then there are those whom you wouldn’t invite home for dinner.

Lloyd Bernard Free apparently set a trend when in 1981 he changed his first name to “World”.  That’s right; his name is World B Free.  Not to be out done Chad Johnson decided to be original and change his name to his jersey number…85, spelled out in Spanish… OchoCinco, and in the world of politics, Rep. Barney Frank considered changing his to Ben Dover and a little known fact- Evil Knievel, born Robert Craig Knievel,  was going to chose Willie Makit.

Now Ron Artest has recently changed his name.  What would somebody like Ron Artest change his name to?  Given his history, what would he call himself?  See the enclosed video to see if you can come up with an idea.

Ron (this will obviously be the last time I get to use his original name) changed his name to Metta World Peace (Metta being a Buddhist term for “ kindness”).  Metta has led the league in longest suspension ever (being suspended for a total of 86 games) so maybe he is hoping a name change will give him an attitude change? Nothing like watching World Peace make flagrant fouls and getting a technical or chocking his coach, or beating a future gun rap.  This does makes me wonder why would Ron Art—Excuse me, Metta World Peace change his name?  Couldn’t he have gotten more attention dating the fat Kardashian sister?

He did consider Mr. One Love but decided his current name would have a larger global impact.  He didn’t tell his wife until after the name change hit the news.  Will Mrs. Artest give Peace a chance? How will King James respond? It doesn’t really matter- he still has more rings then Le Bron.

UPDATE:  It is now well known that Metta World Peace has added to his record of suspensions by throwing elbows at an opposing player.  It’s good to know that Metta is living up to his name….Ah, yeah I know, just being facetious.

I have three entities riding shotgun with me most days, the winning child, St. Christopher (who stays very busy with my driving habits) and OnStar.  OnStar is a service I just won’t do without, it is a private service designed to help me in emergency situations or more mundane situations (locked keys in the car, stolen car, etc.)  This service has a contract with me and it is between them and me, it does not send any information to the government or even my insurance carrier.

Now Harry Reid and Barbara Boxer want the government to ride shotgun with you.  The senate has just passed Section 31406 of Senate Bill 1813 (known as MAP-21), which calls for “Mandatory Event Data Recorders” to be installed in all new automobiles as of 2015.

This Event Data Recorder is in essence a Black Box for your car.  Black Boxes make a lot of sense in airplanes, if they wreck it’s usually a wreck starting from 30,000 feet leaving very little evidence and usually no survivors to help figure out the cause.  Most car accidents are fairly easy to figure out.  Usually the passengers are alive, maybe injured but living, and there is usually a lot of evidence all around to help deduce the cause.  So why the Black Boxes in cars?

The bill states the information belongs to the owner of the car, except:

1) OWNERSHIP OF DATA- Any data in an event data recorder required under part 563 of title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, regardless of when the passenger motor vehicle in which it is installed was manufactured, is the property of the owner, or in the case of a leased vehicle, the lessee of the passenger motor vehicle in which the data recorder is installed.

(2) PRIVACY- Data recorded or transmitted by such a data recorder may not be retrieved by a person other than the owner or lessee of the motor vehicle in which the recorder is installed unless–

(A) a court authorizes retrieval of the information in furtherance of a legal proceeding;

(B) the owner or lessee consents to the retrieval of the information for any purpose, including the purpose of diagnosing, servicing, or repairing the motor vehicle;

(C) the information is retrieved pursuant to an investigation or inspection authorized under section 1131(a) or 30166 of title 49, United States Code, and the personally identifiable information of the owner, lessee, or driver of the vehicle and the vehicle identification number is not disclosed in connection with the retrieved information; or

(D) the information is retrieved for the purpose of determining the need for, or facilitating, emergency medical response in response to a motor vehicle crash.

As was brought up in the HotAir.com article, this is a Data Recorder, not OnStar which is an interactive service not a recorder,  so how would this government monitoring device help in section (D)?  OnStar interacts with your airbag then calls you to investigate the reason, is this government black box going to do the same?  If that is true that means:

1. The US government will basically nationalize OnStar, or force them out of business
2. The US government will have knowledge of your driving habits (speeding, etc.)
3. The US government will have the ability to shut your car down at will  (OnStar can do this if your car is stolen, but what reason does the government need?  Overdue on paying taxes?  Speak out against a liberal President?)
4. The US government will know how far you drive and how much global warming fuel you use.  Again look at #3, can the government decide you can only drive so many miles a month, to save the earth?

The House hasn’t brought this bill up for a vote yet, but it is expected to sail through the republican run House.

I say, no thanks!  I have been disenchanted with the new automobiles anyway, no imagination in the designs.  I yearn for the muscle cars of yesteryear and I do like the Camero, Mustang and Challenger but I don’t like the taxes applied to new vehicles in Nebraska.

I decided to just restore old cars and come 2015 you can guarentee I won’t be buying a new car.  I will avoid being invaded in my car by the government my car is crowded enough with those currently riding shotgun.

Romney and Obama are battling over dogs.

I love epic events the can define a generation.  Nowadays, most epic events start the letter “X” (X-games, XFL, Xbox, Xanax).  That letter just seems cooler.  But, for an older generation, our epic events started with the words “the battle of…”  For instance:  The Battle of Midway- the most important Pacific naval battle, gave the USA complete control of Pacific Ocean.  The battle of the bands, U2 vs the Rolling Stones, gave us the battle in which both played guitars ’til their fingers catch fire.  The battle of the burgers, Big Mac vs the Whopper, flame broiled vs grilled.  This gave us the following question:   Who’s cuisine reigns supreme?  It also gave us the following question:  Which burger causes a Heart Attack faster and which one lasts longer without spoiling because of the preservatives?

Some unfortunate epic battles that do not bear repeating:  The battle of the lip-synchers, Ashlee Simpson vs Shakira, who exits the stage the fastest while weeping.   The battle of the bulge, Rosie O’Donnell vs Grimace, who’s waistline has their own planets orbiting it.  Grimace looks better in purple, by the way!

The newest battle of sorts, has been launched by the lame-stream media.  In an attempt to sway the 39 % of households that own dogs  they have developed a “presidential battle of the dog” of sorts.   In one corner, the presumptive Republican Nominee Mitt Romney.   In the other, the Commander In Chief- President Obama.  Again…Romney and Obama are battling over Dogs.

The media was only going to tell us one side of the dog war.  They love to hound Romney about his Irish Setter Seamus.  Back in 1983, while on vacation in Canada,  Seamus developed a case of explosive diarrhea.  In an attempt to keep the stink out, the Romneys decided to tie the dog’s cage to the roof of the family truckster.  Unbeknownst to them, the cage became untied and the dog met an unpleasant death on foreign land. The media portray this event of road kill as Romney being aloof, cruel, and unfit for office.

The Daily Caller’s Jim Treacher has brought to light the fact that Obama used to gorge on dog meat from ages 6-10.  This information wasn’t obtained from Sheriff Joe, but from Obama’s memoir “Dreams From My Father”.  The President describes it as tough meat:  It’s not as tough as snake, but better eaten with arugula.  No where was it described “it tastes like chicken.”  The media is portraying this tidbit as Obama being more of a worldly multicultural man and he was just taking part in his tribal customs and would give him a leg up when he becomes a man of all nations.  Besides, we know Obama wouldn’t put his dog on top of the car- because it would dry out the meat.  That is, of course, if he doesn’t like Dog Jerky!

What are we to learn from these guy’s past and their love towards man’s best friend?

• One covers their dog with a carrier and the other covers their’s with gravy?  (Chicken Gravy probably rather than beef…more variety of flavor.)
• One puts theirs on top of the roof so the other can’t eat him?
• One goes to Taco Bell to eat the little dog for more ruff-age in his diet or pours out a can of chicken and poodle soup if he’s feeling ill?

O.K., I can not keep beating a dead dog and I don’t need our readers to bark at me.   I can not comment to which crime is worse.  They were both executed out of love for their dog.  I have four of them.  I do know that I have never heard of anyone naming their dog after themselves.  However, The Obama’s have a dog named B.O.:   Barack Obama.  One more time…Romney and Obama are battling over Dogs.

It doesn’t take a genius to realize Tombstone is in the middle of the Arizona desert and therefore lacks a resource most of us take for granted….H2O…Water!

For 130 years Tombstone has been getting it’s water from a resevior located on federal lands.  Natural disasters have not been kind to the federal lands in question:

The shortage (of water) developed because of the Monument Fire in 2011, which denuded the hillsides of vegetation. After the fire, record-breaking monsoon rains hit the region, triggering huge mudslides that left boulders the size of cars tumbling down hillsides.

The slides crushed Tombstone’s mountain spring waterlines and destroyed reservoirs for the town’s main water supply network.

“In some areas, Tombstone’s pipeline is under 12 feet of mud, rocks and other debris, while in other places, it is hanging in mid-air due to the ground being washed out from under it,” the institute reported.”

These events did not pose a problem in the past, the federal government would allow Tombstone officials to go onto the lands and repair any damage to their water system caused by nature.   Tombstone’s rights to the water was even solidfied by a court ruling in 1916:

“In fact, the chain of title to Tombstone’s water rights, infrastructure and rights of way in the Huachuca Mountains is clear. Tombstone actually holds previously adjudicated water rights, as well as appurtenant and independent land use, pipeline and access rights of way.”

Under the direction of Obama the Forest Service has now refused to allow Tombstone to go in and repair it’s water system.

“federal bureaucrats are refusing to allow Tombstone to unearth its springs and restore its waterlines unless [city officials] jump through a lengthy permitting process that will require the city to use horses and hand tools to remove boulders the size of Volkswagens.”

It is no surprise that Obama and his administration would ignore a court ruling, just ask the Gulf states about that (remember the willing violation of the ruling against the oil drilling ban, Obama is still in violation today).  Ignoring Courts doesn’t end there:

There is evidence that the Forest Service under Barack Obama’s leadership is adopting a comprehensive plan “to clear federal lands of any private or non-federal uses.”

Ranchers in the West,  have been told to give up their various access and water rights, ski resorts have faced problems with access to federal lands and Indian tribes have been dealt the same blow.

The federal government owns 30% of the total land mass (650 million acres of land) in the US, most of it is in the West.  The government owns 90% of Nevada and nearly 3/4 of Alaska, not to mention most of Idaho is owned by the government and a large portion of Montana.  Flexing the kind of power that is being suggested here is a clear violation of the 10th Amendment.  Allowing the federal government to decide whether or not you are allowed the use of your water, is clear corruption of power.  This power grab is a huge threat to farmers, ranchers and private business’ in these states.  Ostensively the government could shut down any natural resource to a state, once normally granted if a pipeline or any type of lifeline goes through federal lands.

There is a movement among the wacko liberals, to remove all human contact in federal lands to allow the land to prosper as it would without human contamination.  It would seem these wacko’s have Obama’s ear and he is exercing his extra-constitutional powers to bring about their dream.

How can Obama do this, you might ask?  Easy! Have the main stream media mentioned this or the restriction of irrigation water in California for a 2 inch fish?  No! The media is the willing lap dog of the Obama administration and campaign.  You can bet your last dollar the media will bury this deeper than the McLaury Gang in Tombstone, during this an election year.

Where is the great sheriff of yesteryear?  Arizona needs him more now than before.  I would love to see Wyatt and Doc take care of this problem if they were still alive today.
